Angel Tree

The Angel Tree Ministry is a unique ministry which gives churches an opportunity to share Christ's love by helping to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families of prisoners. Angel Tree Christmas works by connecting parents in prison with their children through the delivery of Christmas gifts. Local churches and volunteers purchase and deliver gifts and the Gospel to children in the name of their prisoner-parent.

White Bluff Chapel also provides opportunities for these children by arranging for them to attend the Sandy Creek Bible Camp during the summer months. The Chapel pays the camp tuition for each child and volunteers provide transportation to and from the camp. W.B. Chapel also provides backpacks and money for snacks, etc. while the children are at the week- long camp.

Is Meaningful Experience
 oment  Posted January, 2014

Each year White Bluff Chapel supports the Christmas Angel Project by purchasing gifts for children who have a parent who is incarcerated. Prisoners from the Whitney area request, through their contact with the prison chaplain, that gifts be given to their children on their behalf.

The Angel Tree Committee members personally deliver the gifts, along with age-appropriate Christian literature and a gift card from Brookshire's which is purchased by White Bluff Chapel. The arrival of each committee member at their destination home is a joyous and meaningful time for these families. Jay and Kay Miller coordinate the annual project.
